Every time he went home,

He was alone.

He sat back and watched the world,

Never learning to interact.

Insecurities thrived in his heart

And his fears continued to rattle his bones.

He could not handle tasks

That contained the basics of love.

They stood together in the rain, watching each other's eyes as little drops of water streaked down their cheeks. "What is it?" she asked. "What do you want?" Her eyes blurred, but she couldn't tell if it was from the rain or her tears. She knew the answer before he said anything. "I can't do this anymore," he whispered. She heard her heart shatter.
